Here's what I've been up to this summer:
*Moved to a new apartment. I love love love it. It is a basement apartment in the cutest little house. It is five minutes from work and the perfect place to take a quick nap on the odd chance I get a lunch break. I have all new stuff which I love including the new red couch...yes, yes, yes I've wanted a red couch for ages and I now have it. Yea! I even bought a couple ottomans this week to make sitting on said couch more comfortable.
*Working a ton of overtime to get the damn Darwin project up and running. We've actually taken a bit of a break from the overtime but all the fun resumes starting next week. Whoo Hoo.
*As of last week, I started working 4 10 hour shifts and now have Mondays off which I must say is one of the coolest things A Plus has ever done for us. I now LOVE Mondays and no longer abhor Sunday evenings. I now enjoy Sunday evenings as I celebrate that every Monday is a holiday.
*Hanging out with all my favorite little peeps. Our summer party was at Lagoon which I must admit is normally the last place on earth I'd like to hang but this year I hung out with Adi, Luke and Pais (oh and their parents) and had a ball. It was so much fun riding the rides and someday Adilynn may even admit that the Rollercoaster was fun. We even got lucky enough to not stand in too many lines. The line for Wicked was heinous but brilliant Mikey came up with the idea that Kacee and I stand in line in one place...he WAY back with the kids and then we'd switch after Kacee and I finished. It was so much fun and I ended up getting to ride twice for the price of one long line.
*My sister and family moved back to Utah a few weeks ago. I think my totally awesome wonderful incredible brother-in-law realized that in order to have a happy happy wife she did in fact need to live here and so they packed up their stuff and moved in with Bob and Shauna until they close on their house. This is great because now I get to see sweet adorable Zackary as much as I want. He is the funniest little guy and I love him.
*Watching all kinds of TV on DVD. I've devoured the following: Grey's (seasons 1-4 again), Battlestar Gallactica season 1, Brothers and Sisters, Alias season 1 (again), X-Files season 1. Next up is Buffy season 7 since I never finished that series and hopefully by then Fall TV will be back on and my life will resume as normal. **Special note...watching too much Grey's in a super short amount of time can possibly make one darker and twistier than they really need to be.
